Fuji TV chairman Hisashi Hieda was named chairman of the Japan National Assn. of Commercial Broadcasters (Minporen), the Japanese counterpart to the U.S.’ National Assn. of Broadcasters. He replaces Nippon TV chairman Seichiro Ujiie, who held the post for seven years. Ujiie will become honorary chair of Minporen.
