TV Acad establishes charity

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has formed “ATAS Cares,” an umbrella committee dedicated to expanding the Acad’s charitable works. ATAS will continue its work with AIDS awareness and add new areas of outreach, including “Dress For Success,” a program that assists low-income women seeking employment.

Former Acad governor Mary Rose has been named chair of the new committee. Anjelica Huston has been named the honorary chairperson of the “Dress For Success” effort.
