LONDON — William Morris has been named director of marketing at Paris-based Reed MIDEM, part of trade and consumer events organizer Reed Exhibitions. He will oversee marketing of Reed MIDEM’s international exhibitions that include MIDEM, MIPTV, MIPCOM, MIPIM, MAPIC, MILIA and WEM.
Morris joins Paris-based Reed MIDEM from the Walt Disney Company, where he was vice president for marketing and brand at Disneyland Resort in Paris. At Disney, Morris was responsible for the leadership of central marketing and for marketing teams in six European offices. In this role he led the re-branding of Disneyland Resort Paris and was instrumental in the launch of Walt Disney Studios, Disney’s second Paris theme park.
Prior to Disney, Morris spent 11 years in the airline industry, where he held various European and national marketing and sales roles at British Airways and its subsidiary, Air Liberté.
