Young filmmakers chosen to take part in the National Television Assn. Western Cape’s annual training initiative are being given the opportunity to make a 26-minute short to premiere at Sithengi, the annual Southern African Film & Television Market, in November in Cape Town.

Film students and aspiring filmmakers are invited to submit scripts by May 5 reflecting the culture and people of the Western Cape. The NTVA said the aim of the project is to kindle independent filmmaking and offer unique training opportunities.
