Morning Ratings Flash - Rick Kissell

One of the stronger deliveries of the season for “Monday Night Football” has enabled ABC to capture Monday in adults 18-49, according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen, while CBS remained the most-watched net overall on the night.

Reliable prelim averages aren’t available for the football game between the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles, but fast national results show the game scoring a 6.8/17 in adults 18-49 and 17.3 million viewers overall from 9 to 11. When nationals are released this afternoon, this could be the top “MNF” score in a couple of months.

CBS, second on the night in 18-49, was led by original segs of “CSI: Miami” at 10 (6.3/16 in adults 18-49, 19.2 million viewers overall) and “Everybody Loves Raymond” at 9 (5.5/14 in adults 18-49, 18.0 million viewers).

NBC led the opening hour with a repeat “Fear Factor” (5.1/15 in adults 18-49, 13.0 million viewers) and was third from 9 to 10 with “Las Vegas” (4.3/11 in adults 18-49, 11.4 million viewers). At 10, a special “Miss Match” didn’t do much (2.8/7 in adults 18-49, 6.1 million viewers).

Fox was a distant fourth, led by 8 o’clock spec “Jingle Bell Rock” (2.2/6 in adults 18-49, 5.1 million viewers).

Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: ABC, 5.6/15; CBS, 5.1/13; NBC, 4.1/11; Fox, 1.9/5; UPN, 1.6/4; WB, 1.1/3.
