Brazil’s Public Television Network (RPTV), comprised of 20 local pubcasters, will bow the special and doc series “National Geographic Presents” on Monday.
Programming has been airing since May on Rio’s pubcaster TVE, one of RPTV’s members. Deal will expand National Geo’s presence well beyond its existing feevee.
“National Geographic Presents” will air weeknights from 8-9 p.m.
Brazil’s pubcasters together reach nearly 97 million of the population of 175 million while pay TV penetration remains low.
