MTV draws ‘Matrix,’ ‘Potter’ pix

MTV in Finland has renewed a multiyear licensing deal with Warner Bros. that will provide the station free TV rights to pics in the “Harry Potter” and “Matrix” franchises as well as series including “Nip/Tuck,” “The OC” and “Skin.”

The studio product will air on the company’s MTV3 and Subtv nets.

MTV head of acquisitions Sami Rahnasto negotiated the deal with Mickie Steinmann, sales director for Warner Bros. Intl. TV Distribution.
