In the night’s opening hour, both “That ’70s Show” (5.5/16 in adults 18-49, 10.8 million viewers overall) and “American Idol” (9.1/24 in adults 18-49, 18.6 million viewers overall) dominated their slots.

The prelim nationals for each of Fox’s shows will be adjusted slightly, as “Idol” ran from 8:31-9:02 and “Bernie Mac” from 9:02 to 9:32.

ABC ran second on the night as “The Bachelor” (5.2/13 in adults 18-49, 10.8 million viewers overall) inched up in its second week and was runner-up behind Fox in the 9 o’clock hour in key demos. Net also placed second in the night’s other half-hours, including a solid 3.7/11 at 8 for “My Wife and Kids.”
