MIAMI — Pay TV programmer Claxson will launch a premium adult-entertainment feevee in Latin America Friday.
The hardcore Spice Clips will replace the existing HotNetwork, which itself replaced the original Spice Channel a few year ago.
Claxson operates two other adult nets in the region: Playboy TV and Venus.
Spice Clips will be a 24-hour net, combining 3-5 minute clips with other programming. Three hours of programming per day will be live from Los Angeles, where four female “Clip Jockeys” will interact with viewers.
Claxson is backed by the Cisneros Group and Hicks Muse Tate & Furst. In addition to its portfolio of pay TV channels, it has broadcast TV, radio and Internet holdings.
Separately, Claxson announced an agreement for its Chilean broadcaster Chilevision to carry the music program “Intimo e Interactivo,” produced by music feevee MuchMusic in Argentina.
Claxson has the rights to the MuchMusic franchise in Latin America.
