CBS dominates Thursday

CBS, led by “CSI” and “Survivor,” easily captured Thursday, according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen, winning every half-hour in adults 18-49.

“CSI” (9.7/25 in adults 18-49, 26 million viewers overall) was the night’s top program, while “Survivor” (7.1/21 in adults 18-49, 19.1 million viewers overall) disposed of NBC’s repeat “Friends” (6.2/19 in adults 18-49, 14.5 million viewers overall) and an original “Scrubs” (5.4/15 in adults 18-49, 11.8 million viewers overall).

From 10 to 11, the Eye’s “Without a Trace” (6.2/16 in adults 18-49, 17.6 million viewers overall) retained 64% of its “CSI” lead-in to defeat a repeat of NBC’s “ER” (5.3/14 in adults 18-49, 11.7 million viewers overall).

NBC also received a second-place 5.7/15 in adults 18-49 from a repeat “Will & Grace” and a 4.9/12 for an original “Good Morning, Miami.”

Fox and ABC remained out of the game on the night, with the former led by a repeat “That ’70s Show” at 8:30 (2.5/7 in adults 18-49) and the latter by “Primetime” at 10 (2.3/6 in adults 18-49).

Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: CBS, 7.7/21; NBC, 5.5/15; Fox, 1.9/5; ABC, 1.8/5.

In total viewers: CBS led with 20.9 million.
