BAFTA TV kudos will honor Jason

British thesp David Jason (“Only Fools and Horses,” “A Touch of Frost”) will be honored with a British Academy of Film & Television Arts fellowship at Sunday’s TV awards in London.

The fellowship is the highest accolade in recognition of outstanding contribution to film and/or TV. Previous honorees include Michael Grade, Albert Finney and Judi Dench.

Jason is best known for playing Derek Trotter in the long-running BBC series “Only Fools and Horses,” created by John Sul-livan, which was voted best British comedy in the Radio Times 2001-02 readers poll.
