SINGAPORE — The Asia Media Festival will be bigger than last year when it opens its doors Dec. 1-7.
Hosted by the Media Development Authority, trade participants have doubled from 2,000 to 4,000.
Aside from the regular Asia TV forum, Asia film market and conference and Asia Animation, new highlights include a policy forum and a conference on digital cinema. There will be the Animation Superpitches contest plus a full-day focus on anime and manga. The eighth Asian TV awards will take place, and the Cable and Satellite Broadcasters Assn. of Asia will host its antipiracy summit.
“We are determined to grow the AMF further as a must-attend event for the media industry, moving Singapore another step closer towards our vision as a global media city,” MDA CEO Lim Hock Chuan says. “The event provides an excellent platform for the local industry to reach out to the international market and vice versa.”
