Argentina is ‘Fear’ friendly

Negotiations underway for Germany, Norway, Spain

BUENOS AIRES — Global format producer Endemol is stepping up production of “Fear Factor” in Argentina, capitalizing on low costs.

With about 45 episodes for Belgium, the U.K., Mexico and the Netherlands already under its belt, Endemol Argentina this month began producing the reality format for Canada and France.

On each one-hour episode, six contestants compete for $50,000 in three extreme stunts around Argentina.

Endemol Argentina is negotiating to do versions for Germany, Norway, Spain and a panregional show for the Middle East as well as the second seasons for Belgium, the U.K. and Mexico.
