‘Tiger’ hops at frog preem

Rosefelt short bows at Plaid in Gotham

Like Bertrand Tavernier and Jonathan Demme before him, publicist Reid Rosefelt celebrated his transition from PR maven to helmer Tuesday night in Gotham.

Occasion, at nightclub Plaid, was wrap party of short film “Tiger: His Fall & Rise,” a film noir about a singing rubber frog.

Idea was conceived while Rosefelt was helping promote “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.” Rosefelt, who broke the bank using a real set and period costumes, admitted , “I was totally stupid and broke every rule of indie filmmaking.”

Project’s stars Adrienne Shelly and Thomas Jay Ryan were among the celebrants in attendance.
