Bart, Guber, Biskind talk 'Hollywood'

HOLLYWOOD — Lynda Obst moderated what she called “The Peter Panel” at the L.A. Times Festival of Books with Mandalay founder Peter Guber, Daily Variety‘s Peter Bart and author Peter Biskind. The Sunday afternoon panel, which the fest called “The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly: Hollywood Today,” discussed the state of an industry Guber described as “a business that has no rules, but you break them at your peril.” Bart gave the box-office failure of “The Real Cancun” as an example of the good, noting it is “a movie with no cast, no crew and no script.” ” . . .and now it has no audience,” Guber chimed in.
