'Little' party brings is a lot of fun
NEW YORK — Douglas Sills mused about the intermingling of pleasure and pain for his character, sadistic dentist Orin Scrivello, during the after-bow bash for “Little Shop of Horrors” Thursday in Gotham. But the party itself was pure pleasure.
Thrilled Broadway newbies Carla Hargrove, Trisha Jeffrey and DeQuina Moore, the tuner’s sassy chorus, flitted about posing for pictures at Tavern on the Green, where seemingly innocent plants set the scene.
“Even before I got offered this job, I could sing every note of the score,” confessed choreographer Kathleen Marshall.
Also basking in the bloody after-glow were castmates Michael-Leon Wooley, Hunter Foster, Kerry Butler and Rob Bartlett, designer Martin P. Robinson and puppeteers Matt Vogel, Anthony Asbury and Bill Remington.
