Project A.L.S. honors Bob Grey

Exec awarded for commitment to charity

The Project A.L.S. “Friends Finding a Cure” gala drew a high-wattage industry crowd Monday night, April 14, 2003. Project A.L.S. honored Brad Grey with the annual David Niven Award at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Ben Stiller hosted and Paul Simon performed at the event that raised $1.5 million.

Other famous attendees included Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Muhammad Ali and CBS honcho Leslie Moonves.

In April 2000, Grey helped sponsor another Project A.L.S. charity “Night & Day.” The two-part benefit raised over $1 million for the charity dedicated to curing Lou Gehrig’s disease.
