Oxygen holds breathless dodgeball tournament

When celebs volunteer to have large rubber balls hurled at them at break-neck speed, it has to be for a good cause.

Judging from the flurry of balls aimed at reality-TVers during the second annual Oxygen Celebrity Dodgeball Tournament, there was an unspoken but unquestionable eagerness to peg such tube personalities as “Bachelorette” Trista Rehn, as well as any of MTV’s “Real World” and “Road Rules” crew.

Team “ER” slammed “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” alum Seth Green out of the game, and “Survivor” host Jeff Probst proved the ultimate survivor when he outlasted his show’s vets. The night’s champs, however, were competitors of team MTV.

The Variety co-sponsored event at Hollywood American Legion Post 43benefited the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Also ducking for cover: Brendan Fraser, Mekhi Phifer, Marisa Coughlan, Matthew St. Patrick and Dave Foley.
