Bob Hope gets another star

Comedian awarded for a 'century' of work

Legendary comedian Bob Hope was named Citizen of the Century at a dedication Tuesday, April 15, 2003 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Hope’s daughter Linda accepted the honor because the comedian was unable to attend. Hope turns 100 next month. On hand for the event were Kelsey Grammar, Dennis Miller, Phyllis Diller, Connie Stevens, Eva Marie Saint and former L.A. mayor Richard Riordan.
