Richard “Dick” Schuyler, actor and stunt man who was Ronald Reagan’s double the last two years of Reagan’s acting career, died March 29 of renal cell carcinoma in Green Valley, Ariz. He was 76.
Billings, Mont., native served in the Navy during WWII and later was in the merchant marines.
Later he was an actor and stuntman for the various studios, including being Ronald Reagan’s photo double and stuntman for two years on “Death Valley Days.”
Other TV and film credits include supporting roles, stunt work and props work on “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World,” early production of “Gunsmoke,” “Resurrection of Zachary Wheeler,” “Andy Griffith Show,” “Police Woman,” “Barreta,” “The Fugitive” and “T.J. Hooker.”
He is survived by a son and daughter.
