Producer-helmer R.J. Cutler has signed with Creative Artists Agency for representation in all areas.
Cutler, who snagged an Oscar nom for producing the Clinton campaign chronicle “The War Room,” created, directed and produced the Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning PBS/Fox reality skein “American High.” He followed “The War Room” by directing and producing feature docu “A Perfect Candidate.”
On the small screen, Cutler — via his Actual Reality Prods. — is directing and exec producing Showtime reality skein “Freshman Diaries,” currently in the mid-dle of its first season, as well as upcoming nonfiction drama “The Residents.” He exec produced ABC’s short-lived “The Real Roseanne Show” this past summer.
“I’m very excited to be working with CAA, where I have many friends and longstanding relationships,” Cutler said. “I know that I will be in great hands.”
Cutler also has a legit background, directing the world premiere of Marsha Norman and Lucy Simon’s “The Secret Garden” and the original workshop produc-tion of Jonathan Larson’s “Superbia.”
