Actress and comedienne Betty Lu Henson died in L.A. after a long illness Jan. 26, though her death date was only recently reported. She was 51.
Born in Hamtramak, Mich., Henson was a veteran of improvisational and standup comedy. She landed parts in “The Falcon and the Snowman” (1985) and “Kindergarten Cop” (1990).
Friends remembered her for her wit, pointed social commentaries and impersonations of Rodney Dangerfield and Tina Turner.
She is survived by her 14-year-old daughter, Megan Long.
