Cable penetration looks set to grow in Yugoslavia, even as the Telecommunication Act due to become law in a few weeks will eliminate hundreds of outlaw cable channels.

“We plan to expand cable to all parts of Belgrade this year,” France Presednik, president of Yugoslavia’s Assn. of Cable Distributors, said Tuesday. Penetration stands at 200,000 in Serbia and 100,000 in Belgrade.
