HOLLYWOOD — Universal Domestic Television has tapped Tracie Wilson VP of programming.
Wilson, upped from her role as director of programming and development, will oversee UDT’s slate of current skeins, including “Maury,” “The Jerry Springer Show,” “Crossing Over With John Edward,” “Blind Date” and “The 5th Wheel.”
Gotham-based Wilson spearheaded the development of the daytime talker “Fergie” and was a programming exec on “Maury” and “Springer.”
“Tracie has repeatedly demonstrated first-rate programming instincts, as well as an ability to spot and nurture talent while establishing great working relationships with stars, producers and colleagues,” said Lisa Hackner, exec VP of programming and development.
Wilson launched her TV career in 1993 at Twentieth TV. She joined U in 1995 as an exec assistant to Greg Meidel, and was upped to programming manager three years later. She has served as director since 2000.
