Mena Suvari has sealed a six-episode arc in HBO’s “Six Feet Under.”
She replaces Zooey Deschanel (“Elf”) who had been set to play the art school pal of Claire (Lauren Ambrose).
Production on the fourth season of the mortuary hit is under way. Peter Krause, Michael C. Hall, Frances Conroy and Ambrose star.
“Six Feet Under” nabbed 16 Emmy noms, including outstanding drama this year, and averaged 4.8 million viewers last season.
Exec producers are Alan Ball, Robert Greenblatt, David Janollari and Alan Poul.
Suvari stars in the upcoming pics “Trauma” with Colin Firth and “Standing Still” with James Van Der Beek. She last appeared in the indie feature “Spun” and Nicolas Cage’s directorial debut “Sonny.”
