Scribe tribe taps Wilcox

WGA West finds Mahern replacement

The Writers Guild of America West board of directors has named Dan Wilcox to replace Michael Mahern, who resigned his position.

Wilcox will serve for the remainder of Mahern’s term, which expires in September 2004. He was the runner-up in the Guild’s recent board election.

Mahern was the WGA West’s secretary-treasurer during 1999-2001 and co-chaired the negotiating committee during bargaining over the 2001 film-TV contract. He ran against current WGA West prexy Victoria Riskin in the subsequent election.
