Gameshow to see 11-week run sans Barker, cameras
Reno, come on down! You’re the next contestant on “The Price Is Right.”Harrah’s Entertainment and FremantleMedia Television have partnered to bring a non-televised version of the long-running gameshow exclusively to Harrah’s Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nev. Show, sans TV cameras and host Bob Barker, will be a near replica of the CBS daytime staple. Contestants will be able to play and compete for a variety of prizes, playing several of the show’s most popular games including Plinko, Cliffhanger and Hole in One. Event, which begins Sept. 25, will run for 11 weeks. Harrah’s and Fremantle also pacted on last year’s Las Vegas-set “The Price Is Right 30th Anniversary Special.”
