Pratt gets 'Help' from WB
TV pilot casting was winding down Thursday, as Keri Lynn Pratt nabbed the lead in the WB’s “The Help” and Rick Ravanello landed on two pilots.
Here’s the latest:
- Pratt, who appeared in the Fox pilot “Manchester Prep” — which turned into the direct-to-video movie “Cruel Intentions 2” — will star in the WB laffer pilot “The Help.”
Pratt, who’s repped by Innovative and Sanders/Armstrong, will play Veronica in the Warner Bros. TV/Original TV comedy pilot.
- Ravanello snagged parts in CBS’ “Not a Clue” and NBC’s “Lyon’s Den.” Ravanello, who’s repped by Michael Slessinger and Danielle Allman, will appear as a regular in “Not a Clue,” which was formerly known as “Criminology 101.” He’ll play twins in “Lyon’s Den.” Both shows are from 20th Century Fox TV, while “Lyon’s Den” also comes from Brad Grey TV.
Ravanello most recently appeared in the telepic “Monte Walsh.”
- Meanwhile, John Benjamin Hickey (“The Anniversary Party”) has joined the cast of ABC’s untitled half-hour pilot from Ann Flett-Giordano, Neil Meron, Chuck Ranberg and Craig Zadan. He’ll portray one of two gay men who raised the pilot’s femme lead, portrayed by Maggie Lawson. Lawson stars as a woman whose politics are left-leaning. She dates a conservative man. Touchstone/Paramount/Storyline are producing.
