Exec ran Xbox campaign in N. America

Entertainment PR agency Bender/Helper Impact has tapped games industry vet Dana Henry VP.

Henry will oversee BHI’s interactive entertainment division, which represents clients such as Codemasters, Sammy Studios, Kemco, TriSynergy, Playboy Home Entertainment, Pride Fighting Championships and Artifact Entertainment.

Henry joins the firm from Edelman Public Relations, where she ran the North American publicity campaign for Microsoft’s Xbox system and software. Previously, she worked for Hasbro Interactive, where her work included the launch of more than 75 products including top-selling PC title “RollerCoaster Tycoon.”

“We’re very fortunate to have someone of Dana’s abilities and experience available to us,” said agency principal Dean Bender. “The Interactive Entertainment division has experienced steady growth since its inception in the early 1990s, and we expect that growth to continue under Dana’s guidance.”

Henry, whose experience spans 10 years in the games sector, began her career at Broderbund Software, where she headed up the publicity efforts for such popular titles as “Myst” and “Carmen Sandiego.”
