AMSTERDAM — Liliana Lombardero has been appointed as the new director of distribution for production and distribution company Off The Fence.
Lombardero, who stepped down from her position as general manger of Beyond Distribution in July, will begin reporting to Off The Fence managing director and owner Ellen Windemuth on September 1.
Lombardero comes to Off The Fence with 17 years of experience in television sales, international co-production, and distribution. Prior to her one year as GM at Beyond, she served as director of sales at RM Associates for two years.
Lombardero told Daily Variety she had known Windemuth “for a long time and I admire the way she’s taken the company and built it up. Off The Fence has won 70 international awards, including the Golden Panda, in just three years because it stands for quality.”
Said Windemuth, “Lombardero’s background speaks to someone who has made a professional commitment to quality. She is exactly what we are looking for to help carry the company’s distribution plans forward.”
Off The Fence co-production partners include ZDF, NHK, and Discovery, and it regularly works with indie producers such as the UK’s Atlantic Production, Germany’s Spiegel TV, and South Africa’s Liquid Pictures, among others.
Fiona Crago moved up to the position held previously by Lombardo as new general manager of Beyond last month.
