Leder back in CAA fold

'Peacemaker,' 'John Doe' helmer ankles UTA

Mimi Leder has returned to Creative Artists Agency.

The helmer of “Deep Impact” and “The Peacemaker,” Leder most recently directed the Regency Television pilot for skein “John Doe.”

She is exec producing the show with partner Margaret French Isaac via their Yak Yak Pictures. Company also has a first-look deal with John Wells Prods. at Warner Bros.

While “Impact” raked in $350 million in worldwide grosses, Leder has not directed a feature since her Warner Bros. romantic drama “Pay It Forward” in 2001.

She began her helming career directing TV dramas “China Beach,” for which she earned four Emmy nominations, and “ER,” which earned her two Emmys.

Leder had been with United Talent Agency since last May.
