A British marketing guru has launched Japan TV, a daily hourlong ad-supported program of docs and sports available on 31 cable operators in Japan.

Richard A. Humphreys, ex-CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi ad agency, founded JTV with two Japanese partners, CyberNet Communications and Odin.

JTV programs include “War in Color,” “Museum Mysteries” and past Wimbleldon tennis tourneys and Olympic games.
