Intermedia taps new chief

COO Naraghi was recently an exec VP at Miramax

Bahman Naraghi has been named chief operating officer of Intermedia Film Equities to oversee the company’s business operations and finance activities. He reports to Intermedia chairman and CEO Moritz Borman.

Naraghi most recently served as executive VP of Miramax Films, where he headed finance, accounting, operations and human resources.

Prior to Miramax, Naraghi held various executive positions at Universal Studios, most recently as chief financial officer of Universal Pictures.

Naraghi also headed up Credit Lyonnais’ media and entertainment group in Los Angeles, serving as the bank’s liaison with MGM.

“Bahman is the rare executive who is both a professional in every aspect of this business, as well as having his feet firmly planted on the ground,” Borman said. “This is a very smart man with an enormous amount of common sense. I feel very lucky to have him as COO of Intermedia.”
