Docu on singer out-rates Hussein interview

Most Brits oppose war in Iraq, so perhaps it’s no surprise that they’d rather tune into Michael Jackson than Saddam Hussein.

ITV’s Monday night documentary “Living With Michael Jackson” beat the Iraqi leader hands down in the ratings war, pulling in 15 million viewers, 10 times more than Tuesday night’s exclusive interview with Hussein on Channel 4 news. The controversial interview, conducted by Labor politician Tony Benn, boosted the audience figures for the newscast by 500,000 to 1.5 million.
