Reality vet Ed Horwitz has joined LMNO Prods. as vice president of production.
Horwitz joins the company from Nash Entertainment, where he was supervising producer on series including “Meet My Folks.” Exec will oversee all of LMNO’s network, cable and syndie productions (it has 12 shows ongoing), as well as the financial and administrative aspects of those shows.
“His unparalleled experience in all facets of programming makes him a perfect fit for our company,” said LMNO prexy-CEO Eric Schotz. “The contributions he will make to the shows we currently have in production, combined with his guidance toward our continued growth and expansion, will be invaluable.”
Horwitz takes over for Gareth Provan, who has departed the company.
Projects Horwitz will help oversee include Lifetime’s “Final Justice With Erin Brockovich,” the Fox specials “101 Things Removed From the Human Body” and “1st Annual Miss Dog Beauty Contest” and NBC’s “Race to the Altar.”
Prior to his time at Nash, Horwitz was a producer at Warner Bros. and Telepictures, serving as senior supervising producer of “Change of Heart” and “ElimiDate.” He also spent time as an exec producer at Moving Target Prods. and New World Entertainment.
As VP of production at Cosgrove/Meurer, Horwitz landed four Emmy noms for “Unsolved Mysteries.”
