Global TV taps Wyatt EIC

Steve Wyatt has been tapped as the new editor-in-chief of the Global Television Network, and longtime anchor Peter Kent becomes deputy editor of Global Television News.

Wyatt, who will be based in Vancouver, is in charge of Global TV’s “news brand.” He was previously the general manager for Global’s BC operations.

Toronto-based Kent will be responsible for new program development, current affairs and news docu-mentaries, primarily in that region. He will continue to co-anchor “MoneyWise.”

The Global Television Network is owned by CanWest Global Communications.
