Veep Schwartz to consult be involved with future projects

Dick Clark Prods. senior VP Al Schwartz has announced he will retire at the end of the year following 25-plus years in the position.

Schwartz plans to consult and be involved with some future projects but decided to retire to devote more time to his personal life. “It’s all about the grandchildren now,” he said in a statement.

“We have worked with Al for over 30 years,” Clark said. “He has been an integral part of our ‘family.’ We wish him all the best and look forward to his return for special events.”

During his career, Schwartz produced more than 600 hours of primetime television and is also the only person to serve as a producer on both the Daytime and Primetime Emmys.
