BV Int’l TV ups Gaignault

Exec promoted to VP sales

HOLLYWOOD — The Mouse House’s foreign TV arm, Buena Vista Intl. Television, has promoted Florent Gaignault to VP sales for French-speaking Europe and Africa. He’ll report to senior VP and managing director Tom Toumazis, based in London.

Since 2001, Gaignault had been exec director of sales at BVITV in France, handling French-speaking sales of BVITV’s portfolio of more than 23,500 hours of Disney programming, including the Fox Kids Europe and BVS kidvid portfolios.

Gaignault founded broadband interactive TV channel Enter TV. From 1995-2001, he was president of Columbia TriStar Television with responsibility for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
