HOLLYWOOD — Veteran TV lit agent Gary Loder has joined the Gersh Agency as a partner, ankling William Morris after 24 years at the tenpercentary.
Loder, who was senior VP of TV literary at William Morris, will now serve as head of the TV lit department at Gersh.
Gersh Agency co-president Bob Gersh said Loder’s hiring comes as the tenpercentary continues its expansion in the TV literary arena. Loder joins Rob Golenberg, who moved to Gersh in June as its head of TV packaging.
Loder brings a mix of clients to the fold including Bill Diamond (“Murphy Brown”), Lew Schneider (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), Ira Behr (“The Twilight Zone”) and Dave and Gary Johnson (“Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye”).
“We’d been looking to build up that area and he’s someone who can help a great deal,” Gersh said.
Loder returned the compliment, noting “Gersh has always had a terrific list and their desire at this point, with Bob seriously looking to expand their business, made a lot of sense for me and my business right now.”
Loder had co-headed the TV lit department at William Morris for the past 13 years. He first joined WMA as a trainee.
