WB Int’l ups trio of exex in marketing

Reid, Rich, Volland get VP stripes

Warner Bros. Pictures Intl. has promoted three marketing department execs.

Samantha Reid has been raised to veep of marketing, creative advertising and production; Blair Rich to VP of marketing and creative advertising; and Lance Volland to vice prexy of publicity.

Reid and Rich will report directly to Sue Kroll, president of marketing for Warner Bros. Pictures Intl., while Volland will continue to report to Mic Kramer, senior vice president of publicity.

“Samantha, Blair and Lance are all vital members of our marketing team,” Kroll said. “With the exciting slate of films Warner Bros. Pictures has planned for international release the rest of this year and beyond, their roles are all increasingly valuable to assuring our continued success overseas.”

Reid joined Warner Bros. Pictures in January 1997 and most recently served as director of international marketing.

Rich joined the international marketing department at the studio in November 1997.

Volland is responsible for supervising all publicity activities for Warner Bros Pictures Intl., including trade publicity, press materials and junkets, film festivals, media promotions and tie-ins, publicity strategies and directives to all overseas offices.
