Edelist, Soper earn VP stripes in prod'n arm
Viacom Prods. has upped a pair of execs in the studio’s business and creative affairs units.
Susan Edelist has been promoted to senior VP of business affairs, and Pamela Soper to VP of creative affairs.
Edelist will continue to report to Viacom Prods. prexy Perry Simon and will oversee business affairs for the studio’s feature projects and TV series.
Soper will report to exec VP of creative affairs Steve Gordon and continue to manage current TV drama and comedy series including “Ed” on NBC, “The Handler” for CBS, “Jake 2.0” on UPN and “The Division” for Lifetime.
“Viacom Prods.’ continued success is greatly attributed to these talented and dedicated creative and business affairs executives. With these appointments, we are able to recognize Susan’s and Pamela’s outstanding achievements,” Simon said.
Edelist previously served as VP of business affairs at Viacom sister company Big Ticket TV. She joined Viacom in April 2002.
Soper began her career at Viacom Prods. and served as manager of creative affairs until she left to become director of development for Silver Pictures. She rejoined the unit in 1999 as a creative affairs consultant.
