UPN has landed a drama project from “Nip/Tuck” producers Greer Shephard and Michael Robin and scribe Dan Bucatinsky (“All Over the Guy”).
“Beck and Call” revolves around the New York fashion world, as seen through the personal lives of the industry’s executives and assistants. The ensemble will focus specifically on three twentysomethings who have just landed their first job.
Bucatinsky wrote the script, while Shephard and Robin are onboard to exec produce. Project, from Warner Bros. TV, is the first from Shephard/Robin since FX’s “Nip/Tuck” took off.
When he’s not writing, Bucatinsky is also an actor, having most recently appeared in the feature “Under the Tuscan Sun.” He also appeared in the series “MDs” and “M.Y.O.B.,” as well as the film “The Opposite of Sex” and his own “All Over the Guy.”
As for Shephard/Robin, the team has produced series including the WB entries “Popular” and “Brutally Normal.” The CAA-repped pod sealed a two-year deal in March keeping it at Warner Bros.
Bucatinsky is repped by Endeavor.
