Series' premiere draws 1.21 household rating for net
E! delivered its best-ever ratings in the cable net’s 13-year history last week with the launch of the mini “101 Shocking Moments in Entertainment.”
Five-hour countdown, chronicling the top scandals and shockers in the world of entertainment, posted E!’s highest numbers to date in total viewers and adults 18-49.
Sunday’s 10 p.m. premiere of the weeklong “Shocking” drew a 1.21 household rating for the net. Five segs altogether averaged a .86 rating — an average 882,000 total viewers — up 67% from the second quarter in the same time period.
In E!’s target demos, series posted a .52 in 18-34 (up 80%) and a net record .57 in 18-49 (up 82%).
Week’s programming was also anchored by the bows of profile skeins “On E! Special: Christina Aguilera,” “Love Chain: Tom Cruise” and “Facing Fame: Britney Spears.”
E! reaches 80 million homes.
