Thesp Blair Underwood has signed on to guest as one of the latest “Sex and the City” suitors.
Producers are mum as to which “Sex” character will wind up under Underwood, who will appear in four episodes of the HBO comedy.
Underwood joins a growing fraternity of actors — including John Corbett, Ron Livingston, Evan Handler and frequent guest Chris Noth — who have made a pit stop on “Sex and the City” as suitors to Carrie, Samantha, Miranda or Charlotte.
Underwood most recently starred in the features “Malibu’s Most Wanted” and “Full Frontal,” as well as “Rules of Engagement” and “Deep Impact.”
On the small screen, thesp is still best known for his long-running stint as Jonathan Rollins on NBC’s “L.A. Law.” He also starred in CBS’ “City of Angels,” ABC’s “High Incident” and the Eye miniseries “Mama Flora’s Family.”
Underwood will appear in this year’s batch of 12 “Sex” episodes, making his first appearance around episode nine. HBO has divided the show’s final season into two halves, airing 12 episodes this summer and another eight early next year.
Underwood is repped by William Morris.
Meanwhile, Tatum O’Neal (“Paper Moon”) has also signed to guest star on an upcoming episode of “Sex and the City.”
The actress will play a photographer friend of Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie in the show’s Aug. 17 episode. O’Neal most recently appeared in feature “The Scoundrel’s Wife.” Other recent credits include “Basquiat.”
