Kevin Riley, former director of operations at New Regency, has joined financier-production entity Samy Boy Entertainment as chief financial officer.
He will oversee daily operations of Samy Boy’s filmed entertainment division while supervising the development and production operations of the company.
Samy Boy launched in 2002, recently completing production on its first feature, “Trespassing,” directed by James Merendino and starring Estella Warren and Ashley Scott.
It has also provided bridge financing for the Sharon Stone/Rupert Everett feature “A Different Loyalty” and the Terrence Malick-helmed “Beautiful Country.” Samy Boy is also co-financing Mac Releasing’s Gina Gershon pic “Prey for Rock and Roll.”
Previously, Riley held posts at 20th Century Fox as director of international media and at Warner Bros. Pictures as a senior media analyst.
