Los Angeles Laker Rick Fox has inked to appear on a five-episode story arc of Lifetime’s new drama series “1-800-Missing.”
In addition, thesp Justina Machado, a recurring player on “Six Feet Under,” has nabbed a series regular spot on the FBI drama.
Based on the novel “1-800-Where-R-You” by Meg Cabot, series centers on an FBI agent (Gloria Reuben) who does whatever it takes to find the thousands of people who disappear every year.
Machado, whose other credits include “Final Destination 2” and the soon-to-bow “Torque,” has been cast as an FBI evidence collection specialist and forensics expert.
Fox, an aspiring actor who recently appeared in “Holes” and appeared in several episodes of HBO’s “Oz,” will play a successful businessman with political aspirations. He will first appear in the series’ fifth episode.
“1-800-Missing.” debuts Aug. 2 as part of the cabler’s new Saturday night of original programming.
