'The Pink Panther' to mark debut

BERLIN — MGM is launching a new film channel on Germany’s multi-channel paybox Premiere today. Called simply MGM, it offers feature films from the studio’s 4,000-title strong library in German and English, debuting with Blake Edward’s “The Pink Panther.”

The channel joins other Hollywood studio outlets on Premiere like the Disney Channel, Fox Kids, Universal’s Studio Universal and 13th Street and Discovery Channel.

MGM is being offered as part of a E10 ($10.90) per month package or on its own for $2.
