Potter place up for sale

3-bedroom home on the market for $400,000

LONDON — Harry Potter fans have the chance to snap up the ultimate piece of memorabilia when 4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey, the fictional abode of Harry and the detested Dursley family, goes up for sale July 22.

The house is, in fact, 12 Picket Post Close, in Bracknell, Berkshire, and will be sold as lot 46a in FPDSavills’ auction at London’s Millennium Hotel.

The three-bedroom home has been put up for sale by owner Sandra Smith, who returned home from work as a secretary three years ago to discover Warner Bros. wanted to use the exterior of her house for “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” None of the interiors were used in the pic.

The guide price is $400,000.
