MTV toon exec ankles cabler

Miller brought 'Jackass,' 'Tom Green' to music web

MTV exec VP of series development and animation John Miller has ankled after almost eight years with the music net.

Miller’s recent projects for the cabler include frosh skeins “Doggy Fizzle Televizzle,” “Who’s Got Game?” and “Surf Girls.” He also served as the exec in charge of production on net mainstays “The Real World” and “Road Rules.”

“He’s done great work for MTV, and we wish him the best on his future endeavors,” an MTV spokeswoman said.

Programming execs Lois Curren, Dave Sirulnick and Tony DiSanto will continue to oversee the channel’s production and development in Miller’s absence. There are no plans for a replacement.

During his tenure Miller and his team brought the hit series “Jackass” and “The Tom Green Show” to MTV. He also exec produced the feature “Jackass: The Movie” and animated series “Clone High.”

Before MTV, held positions at Foxlab. He also created, developed and produced the syndicated reality show “Trauma Center” for Twentieth Television.
