HOLLYWOOD — MTV Networks Latin America is reinforcing its programming strategy for its two regional spinoffs with three new series acquired from Sony Pictures Television Intl.
The new shows are the animated series “Stuart Little” and the live-action show “Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension” for Nickelodeon in Latin America and Brazil.
And in a first-of-its-kind move, MTV Networks Latin America has acquired the new animated series “Spider-Man” for both MTV and Nickelodeon.
This first deal between MTV Networks Latam and SPTI was made to reinforce the already strong position of both networks in the region.
Nickelodeon is the No. 1 cable channel in Mexico and Chile and No. 2 in Brazil and pan-regionally among kids aged 4 to11, per Ibope figures.. MTV is still No. 1 music channel.
